Steria strengthens its expertise in Singapore by setting up BusAIS, a real-time system that indicates waiting time between two buses

Steria, an end-to-end IT services partner in Europe and major player in IT in the transport sector, has again been selected by the Singapore Land Transport Authority (LTA) to manage infrastructure and increase comfort for Singapore's users. Using its expertise in deployment of mobile technologies and intelligent transport systems (ITS), Steria has designed and implemented the BusAIS system, which consists of panels in each bus shelter indicating the waiting time between two buses in real time.

Steria has been chosen amongst several global competitors for its recognised expertise in Airport systems and its in-depth knowledge of Airport operations. In the scope of this contract, Steria consultants performed a thorough review of CAAS business processes related to gate management, and prepared the system tender specifications based on the outcome of this review. Subsequently, Steria will undertake the project management of the system implementation, up to the commissioning of the system.

Steria choosen for the development of a new road traffic supervision system in Malaysia The Malaysian Ministry of Works has recently awarded a contract to a consortium composed of Itramas Corporation and Steria, the global IT services operator and major player in computerised transport systems in Europe, in order to implement the traffic supervision system of Johor Bahru's 25 km-long by-pass motorway. Johor Bahru lies on the border between Malaysia and Singapore and is the second largest city in the country.
