Since 1996,
Steria has been considering the Asian market and particularly Singapore as a priority development
area for its activities. At the end of 1996, our commercial efforts were rewarded
as the LTA entrusted us with the development and implementation of the
NEL-Line maintenance management system.
In 1998, Steria
SA decided to open a branch office in Singapore.
At the end 1999,
and after two years of local commercial activities and three major
contracts awarded, the General Management of Steria decided to open a
subsidiary with the objective to develop Steria's activities in Singapore and Asia Pacific.
The creation of
a subsidiary represents a real commitment from the Management to
developing projects with local staff with the support of Steria France providing technology
transfer.
In 2001, Steria
Asia signed 2 major contracts and strengthened its position in Asia.
In 2002, Steria
Asia is performing several projects in and outside Singapore and the company is
profitable.
In 2004, Steria
Asia became the regional Headquarters for Asia.
